It’s definitely true.

Peanuts or No Peanuts?

Although peanuts seem to be the ultimate theme food for baseball games, there will be a section at Wrigley Field that will be off limits fo

r peanuts.  Sorry Charlie Brown!

This area can be found in the Batter’s Eye skybox. This will accommodate those with peanut allergies.

The first time for this will be at Monday’s game against the Pittsburg Pirates.

This will give  fans with peanut allergies a chance to finally experience a live game from the stadium!

With that said, who’s going to the game???

Need directions to Wrigley Stadium from Deer Valley? Mapquest it!

When Should I “Hamper” It?

An A-line skirt, with top.

I can wear this multiple times!

Despite what people say, there are some items that can be worn more than once before you ship them to the laundry room. Real Simple gives a list of items hanging in your closet that can keep its new look if you follow these wash routines:

How many times can I wear:

  • Khaki Shorts and pants- You can wear these 2 or 3 times.
  • Pajamas- You can wear them 3 or 4 times. Shower at night? That means you can sneak in an additional two more wears!
  • Skirts- You can wear them up to 5 times.
  • Tops and dresses-  Wear them 3 times.
  • Tees, tanks and camisoles- Clean after one time wearing them. These items absorb oil more.  But if you’ve had it on for less than four hours, you can wear them one more time!

Hopefully these tips will help you decide when it it’s time to wash clothes in your laundry room at  Deer Valley Apartments!

UVA protection logo on sunscreens (European Union)

We all need sunscreen. But which one?

What’s the best sunscreen for kids and adults? I checked consumer ratings to find out for sure.  I use Aveeno sunscreen, which works great for me, but you have to find one that works best for you!  Here’s a few sunscreens that I found that will work for all skin types, for both big (adults) and little (kids) people:

  • Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55
  • N0-ad Sunblock Lotion SPF 45
  • Blue Lizard Sunscream SPF 30+
  • Coppertone Sport Sunblock Lotion SPF 30

Which one do you use when you go out in the sun? Be sure to wear protection lotion when you come out to Deer Valley’s pool!

Update Your Summer Wardrobe

Posted on July 30, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Got these for your summer wardrobe?

There are only certain pieces that you’ll need to update your summer wardrobe, ladies.  And because the summer is almost over, you’ll probably be able to find these items on sale!  Here goes:

loose bottoms- Those TIGHT cut-offs are out and loose boy-cut capris, pants and shorts are in! They’re casual and comfortable.

a little flirty dress- Throw this “flowy” and cool dress on during a weekend around the town.

light accessories- Accessories like ribbon necklaces and bracelets are lighter than heavy metal bangles and necklaces.

wedges- Trade in your wedges for some wooden heels.

And the great thing about these pieces are that you can find them at stores such as Old Navy, Macy’s and side department stores!

Enjoy!
